Parade Participants
You can be a General Parade Participant or a Corporate Participant. If you are a Marching Band, you will need to call 225-925-8295 and leave information on the line. Dignitaries are invited to ride also. There is no vendor nor stage space. The Wearin' of the Green is strictly a parade. You are apt to want to particpate multiple times since it is always such a fun day!
Shamrock Ratings are attributed to each float annually as a way of judging performance once all comments from the public, officials, parade marshals have been reviewed. A rating of a 5-Shamrock indicates that the participant followed all of the rules, had walkers at all times, non-offensive music, good driver (not distracted by throwing beads, cell phone or certainly not drinking), and they picked up their litter.

Banned Floats...
Make sure IN ADVANCE that you are not planning to use a float like the ones pictured. They will be turned away Parade Morning.

Our only comprehensive form of emailing to our Parade Participants is our Yahoo Group. If you are with the Media and want to be assured to get information, please sign on as well.
